It's Father's Day! What can I give to my Dad?

Posted by Jewel Sebastian on

A father is a family's hero! He can fix the broken sink, he can change busted lightbulbs. He can carry a refrigerator, and he can make the car squeaky clean! He can do all of these together with being excellent at work and being a good father to his children. And with all the hard work, our superhero deserves a treat even for a day in a year! Here are some garden-inspired gift ideas that your Dad would surely appreciate:
1. A father's bouquet.
If your father is not (yet) into gardening and you want to get him interested, a succulent/cacti dish arrangement is what you can give him. A carefully picked variety of succulents planted in a nice pot and a well-draining, nutritious soil would surely pave his way to start loving plants! You can also add a note that describes the characteristics of succulents that represent his: strong, reliable, and endurant.
2. A seed-starter pack
Another thing that you could give your father and get him started with gardening is a pack of seeds. Complete it by adding a seed tray, sprayer, a small shovel, and oh! Don't forget the soil! A rich soil that will help him jumpstart a tomato journey will surely turn him into a "Bahay-Kubo" harvester!
3. A father's kit
Whether your Dad is a starting gardener or a seasoned one, he deserves to be supported! And one way is to give him the things that he needs to tend a beautiful garden! Put together a shovel, a pruner, a sprayer, a small rake, and a decent pair of gloves, and voila! you'll surely see a smile on your father's face.

There are many gifts that you can give your Dad, just make sure that it would capture his interest, help him in his work/craft, or something that would challenge him (they like it because they are Dads). At the end of the day, these gifts would show how we thought about them--on their Day--and that's what counts.
